Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervises the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of testing procedures and methodologies for products, systems, and components.
Oversees the identification of functional discrepancies and leads the analysis and interpretation of test results.
Responsible for the accuracy of test reports and the consistency of test methods.
Oversees the documentation, definition and maintenance of internal quality control standards and reliability programs.
Interacts with engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems and components.
Collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams (Design, Manufacturing, Sustaining) and product teams to manage, track and control project issues to ensure timely delivery of products.
Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of projects.
Oversees the Test Engineers and provides direction regarding projects, tasks, and operations; acts as a liaison to other engineering functions.
Responsible for employee safety during test and evaluation procedures
Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of projects.
Ensures individual projects are communicated clearly and completed on time.
- Applies continuous improvement methodologies and toolsets; generates opportunities, sets priorities, identifies solutions, and manages projects
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures found within the field.
Able to maintain a wide variety of projects and deliver results in a timely fashion.
Capable of influencing and building partnerships, developing team work and managing others.
Strong communication, planning, organizational, and computer skills.
Experience with test data management in a database format is a plus
Able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
