Assembly, Mechanical Optical Systems, Electronic Job Summary

Job duties include mechanical assembly, optical lens assembly, electronic assembly and general assembly tasks in a fast pace dynamic manufacturing environment.  Attention to detail during the assembly process is a must. Candidates must have experience with pneumatic tools and general mechanical assembly aptitude. Fine motor skills for small fastener and part assembly is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow safety protocol and guidelines.

  • Read, interpret specific and highly detailed work instructions.

  • Operate torque tools, electric drivers, hand tools and specialized optical equipment.

  • Follow and abide to high quality workmanship standards and requirements.

  • Perform soldiering, minor electronic assembly, soldering certifications a plus.

  • Maintain clean work space and follow lean manufacturing guidelines.

  • Perform quality inspections and workmanship defects. Attention to detail is a must.

  • Operate robotic equipment and adhesive dispensers.


Job Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1-2 years of assembly experience preferred, optical mechanical assembly a plus.

  • English reading skills, following directions from reading.

  • Proficient in writing and math.

  • Computer navigation required, ERP system interface a plus.

  • Ability to problem solve.

  • College degree or applicable certifications a plus.

  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.

  • Open to specific training and certification and or continued education.

  • Open minded to be cross trained for other job tasks.

  • Ability to work alone or within teams.

Physical abilities and Requirements

  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks

  • Regularly lift 10-50 lbs

  • Skilled in manual dexterity and small mechanical part manipulation with accuracy.

  • Vision standards may be applicable.
